Academic Schedule
Online Academic Experience and Term Schedule
At Newberry College, online bachelor’s and master’s programs are designed for working students, career changers, community college transfers and lifelong learners who want to earn a quality degree on a faster, more flexible schedule.
Complete coursework on your time/schedule. All online courses are offered in an asynchronous format. This means you can study and complete your work when your time allows: evenings, weekends, daytime – whatever fits your schedule.
How Our Academic Terms Work
Our accelerated, eight-week term structure helps you stay focused and finish sooner, whether you’re pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree online. Many students complete a fully online bachelor’s in as few as 18 months, and master’s programs in as few as 12 months, giving you momentum toward your goals without sacrificing quality or academic support.
Instead of traditional 15-week semesters, Newberry Online uses shorter, more intensive terms throughout the year. This structure allows:
- More frequent start dates so you don’t wait months to begin
- Focused coursework with one or two courses at a time
- Clear milestones that help you plan your studies around life and work
- A faster path to earning your degree
