Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hospitality Management

Program Overview

The Hospitality Management program emphasis is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in hospitality settings. Students will develop competency in operational and financial principles central to hospitality management. This program will focus on professional communication, strong organizational skills, and professional responsibility to ensure graduates are prepared to confidently and ethically serve in a variety of hospitality settings.    

The curriculum emphasizes operational management across multiple industries, revenue management, workplace communication, as well as service excellence and professional standards to ensure graduates are prepared for a career in hospitality. Through practical coursework and real-world applications, students build the competencies needed for success in the hotel and lodging industry, the food and beverage industry, and events and tourism. 

Admission Requirements

  • Official transcripts
  • Freshman students must provide a high school transcript or equivalent (GED)
  • Transfer students must provide transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities. If the student has not successfully completed 28 college credits, they will be required to provide their high school transcript.
  • Minimum GPA requirement: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

Learning Path

The business administration online degree program requires 120 total credit hours. 15 - 24 credit hours along with a hospitality internship are included in the Hospitality Management emphasis. 42 credit hours are major/related coursework including courses such as:
